![]() Disconnect your battery negative terminal, then touch the cable terminal to the post. Here is an easy way to check for battery drain, doesn't require a current meter. Those just clip into place, and VW moved them around a lot. NOTE: The ones above the fixed relay pos'ns are guesses, the aren't really in the right spot (one to the right) but the numbers agree with Bentley. Pos'n 17, 150 don't know but 150 was used for Park/Neutral posn on autos. Pos'n 15, can't read but should be 155, Idle Air Control (IAC) Control module relay Posn' 14, upside down relay 38, Engine Coolant Pump relay (After-run) Posn' 8, relay 99., Washer/Wiper Intermittent relay (this is the one the Vanagon guys want to give them progrmmable intermittent wipers) Pos'n 4, relay 18 is Load Reduction Relay (turns you headlights etc. Pos'n 3, relay 30 is Digifant ECM Power Supply relay Your pos'n 2, relay 72 is Rear Window Wiper/Washer This is why I really want to know the 2 light switches diagram. Snowsyncro, do you have foglights? do you have the foglight switch? Why are there 3 positions for the foglight switch? my fogs are on at any position and I want to fix the problem. btw my relay position #9 isnt there cause the sound is a bit irritating. I have a draw on my battery and I want to fix the prob asap. I want to know all the positions of the relays. For example, #10 Fog Light Relay and # 11 Dual Horn Relay both use #53 relays, and in your picture it also looks like there is a #53 relay (upside down) in location #17.ĭo you know every relay position? you have a relay at position #1 but I dont have and I have a relay at position #6 but we have the same year and model, it's kinda weird. ![]() The configuration above the fixed relay locations (i.e the bottom 2 rows - locations 1 to 12) can vary with options.Īlso, the number on the relay identifies the type of relay - it does not mean it is dedicated to a unique purpose. That relay location with the yellow wire (in your picture) is number 10 - that is the location for Fog Light Relay - also a number 53 relay. Posted: Wed 5:27 pm Post subject: 92 EV relay panel Location: East Preston, Nova Scotia, Canada there is probably a link between that and the switch. More I dont have any light in the cluster and the dash controls. Well I don't know if VW headlight switches are all the same but does anyone has the wiring diagram about both headlights and foglight switches? for a moment, the headlights are on when I put the key at on and before I start the engine. There a big problem with my headlight switch even if I changed it. but there was not difference if either I plugged or not plugged it Ok it seems related to my auxiliary foglights that are on a separate circuit with itsown fuse but use the oem foglights switch. What year is your GL? You will need a pic of the same year to learn anything, since VW seems to like to move things around on these panels over time. That yellow wire is definately home grown.VW doesn't do that. Someone with a Eurovan may be of more help. The painted numbers have some meaning, don't know what it is, but you will need the actual part number to know what the relay is for. Your avatar looks familiar, weren't you asking about a draw on the battery? This might be a good place to start. If you look at the ground star in the picture, there is a non factory ground connector as well. Someone most likely needed power for an accessorie. I don't believe the yellow wire is factory. do you know its use?ĭo you know the meaning of the numbers written on the relays? is there a chart? I want to identify each relay ![]() Do you have this yellow wire? I don't know if it's in the right pin.
